HistoryGreenbrier Valley Brewing Company began with a passion for beer and some good story telling between Wil Laska and David Kucera.  David a craft beer enthusiast and home brewer shared his brewery dreams with his newly found business partner Wil.  Wil a retired U.S. Navy pilot, businessman, and craft beer connoisseur, sprung into action making those brewery dreams a reality.  No brewery is complete without a Brewmiester.  18 years experience creating superior artisanal beers made Brain Reymiller an excellent first brewer for us.  Will Gudmundsson, who apprenticed under Reymiller, has taken the Brewer reins and is bringing us into 2017.

September 2014 saw the launch of the first two flagship beers, Wild Trail Pale Ale and Mothman Black IPA. Devil Anse IPA came in December 2014 and was quickly followed by our inaugural canning in January 2015.  A historic event, this marked 44 years since beer has been canned in West Virginia and becoming the last US state to offer a canned craft beer.

2016 saw outrageous seasonals such as the Lily Dipper Wit, the Double Z Pilsner and the Greenbrier Oktoberfest as well as our expansion into neighboring Virginia.

We continue to push ourselves to be creative with future plans of seasonal brews, and specialty packaged beers.  The possibilities are endless!
